Can I sew in one track and is it a good idea?

okay so i am african american and i like my hair for the most part but i have sort of fine hair that feels like silk. I just want to add a little body so can i sew in just one track. dont want to glue anything in my head. But will the sewed in track pull out my hair or anything? Can i wrap my hair wit it in?
