How should i conclude this article?
Recently Dos Pueblos had an aerial silk performance in the Performing Arts Center (PAC). Aerial silk dancing is a sport which leaves audiences in awe as they watch the silk artists skillfully perform. This art combines dance, acrobatics, and physical strength and is commonly associated with Cirque du Soleil. In this unique activity performers are gracefully suspended from the ceiling by fabrics. They wrap their bodies around these fabrics, or silks, and entertain audiences with their flexibility, coordination, and skill.
Developing the skill to create such a show takes a generous amount of time. Junior McKenna Riley has been experiencing the enjoyment of this activity for over a year now. Riley expresses her love for the art. "I am a performer and when I'm up in the air it is the definition of defying gravity. I feel like I soar up there!"
It is not the cheapest activity out there, performers must pay for classes, outfits, and silks. However the performers believe it is all worth it for the excitement of the activity. Dancers at the local studio, La Petite Chouette Aerial Arts, practice two times a week to perfect their balance, strength and elegance on the silks.
Aerial Silk makes dancers very aware of their bodies' balance and positioning; by controlling body placement and weight distribution they are able to make their routines seem effortless. The exercise is challenging and requires a lot of upper body strength, but determined performers, in time, learn to get it right.
