Cellulite usually appears in the thighs and buttocks. Aside from these body parts, there are other areas which could be affected. The sites inflicted with the formation may vary depending on gender and age.
Cellulite develops in areas where there is more excess fat most especially on the thighs and buttocks area. These are spots wherein there are more cells that accumulate plenty of fats. There are other areas in your body where cellulite can appear. Since both men and women are affected by this type of skin problem, the cellulite can also appear in the male body the way it does in female.
Four cellulite areas other than thighs and buttocks
Aside from the thigh and the buttocks, cellulite may manifest in other areas of the body. You could apparently notice it when you stand in front of the mirror to assess yourself. The sights of cellulite will most likely appear in the following:
1. Stomach. The cellulite that appears at the bottom of your abdomen is associated to some kind of digestive disorders. Most women who have cellulite on the lower portion of their stomach usually experience digestive tract problems like constipation, difficult or irritable bowel movement and even liver ailments.
2. Neck. The appearance of cellulite at your nape is associated with the regular stress that you experience. Continuous stress on the other hand may be manifested by an apparent pressure that can be felt at the muscle of your neck. This condition can lead to an inflammation of your tissue and may cause distorted vertebrae. If your tissues are inflamed, the fluid retention is so great that it can lead to more cellulite formation.
3. Upper Arm. The appearance of cellulite in the upper arms is usually experienced by older women and is usually believed to be connected to the cellulite that appears on the leg. The occurrence on this part of the body is considered to be connected to the lessened venous flow or damaged veins that are located in your arm.
4. Front of the Thigh. The cellulite that appears on this part of your body is considered to be associated with poor blood circulation as well as excessive exercise on your legs.
Cellulite in men
Just like women, men are also affected by cellulite. It may also appear in some parts of the male body like their neck, upper arm, stomach, and front of the thigh. The difference of the cellulite between men and women is that the ugly sight in the latter is more visible than those in the former. This is due to the fact that the skin of female is thinner and more sensitive, compared to the skin of male which are tougher and more elastic.
Girls who reach their adolescent years are also most likely to be affected by cellulite due to hormonal changes. The skin disorder in teenagers is most visible on their knees and at its back. There are also teenage girls who can acquire the problem on their upper arm. The hormonal changes in girls can trigger cellulite development.
Appearance of cellulite in the body may vary as to the age of a person. Areas affected may also be different as to the gender. The only thing they have in common is the fact that it could affect anybody. You may not be exempted from it unless you know how to prevent the formation.
