Cellulite will not just pop up in your body without a factor causing its eruption. If you want to prevent it from coming, you have to be very diligent as to what triggers it. This could also be a guide for you to seek proper treatment.

There are several factors that are associated to the real cause of cellulite.  Knowing what affects the formation could help you attack the problem.  There are still 10 things you need to know about the causes of cellulite.

10 factors that cause cellulite

Before you actually know how to treat cellulite, you have to know its causes.  The same thing will help you prevent the occurrence.  Here are the most common examples:

1. Genetics.  It is considered that cellulite has a tendency to be acquired genetically due to body conditions that may be present in individuals like extra fat cells, frail veins, weak lymphatic vessels, poor circulation and hormonal sensitivity.

2. Unhealthy lifestyle.  Examples of this are having unbalanced diet, poor exercise habits and excessive smoking.

3. Female Hormones.  Women’s fibrous septae are prone to accumulate fat cells because it is more sensitive than men.  Two sex hormones in female like estrogen and progesterone may also be a culprit to the condition.

Estrogen plays an important role in establishing the amount and site of fat cells in your body.  This kind of female sex hormone is responsible for the formation and escalation of fat cells in your breasts, thighs, and buttocks.  Progesterone on the other hand is responsible for your weight gain, weak veins, and fluid retention.

4. Pregnancy.  This condition is also considered to be another cause of cellulite due to the changes that take place.  When a woman is pregnant, there is a great fluid retention in the body which affects proper blood circulation.

5. Stress.  If you are suffering from a lot of stress, there is a tendency for you to have adrenaline rush.  This results to an excess fat space in your stomach, hips, buttocks, and thighs.  If this happens, cellulite appearance is more prominent.

6. Sedentary Lifestyle.  If you have an inactive lifestyle, your blood circulation will be greatly affected.  The functions of your nerves and vessels will also be lessened.

7. Smoking.  Cigarettes contain a lot of toxins that can damage your veins and capillaries thus resulting to poor blood circulation.

8. Liposuction and Pelvic Surgery.  These types of cosmetic surgeries can affect your veins and capillaries that may result to cellulite formation.  Although these procedures are performed to cure cellulite, there is a great risk involved. Make sure that you look for an expert when undergoing cosmetic surgery so that the procedure will be carefully performed.

9. Harsh Massage.  Massage can help in the proper blood circulation but if it is not done properly it can destroy your frail lymphatic vessels that may lead to cellulite formation.

10. Other Factors.  Some other indicators for cellulite formation are poor blood circulation, lesser venous flow, damaged lymphatic drainage, and liquid preservation.

It is very important for you to note that the contributing factors which causes cellulite formation varies from one individual to another.  Whatever causes the development, you are advised to gather necessary facts about its occurrence.  In such a manner, you will be able to prepare yourself in case you will be affected by the skin condition.
